This year marks the 4th annual National Coach Week, a celebration of the coach tourism industry and all the people, places, and communities that make it so special. Hosted by the Coach Tourism Association (CTA), the event aims to raise awareness of the role that coach travel plays in British tourism and to celebrate the many businesses that make it thrive.
At Grand UK Holidays, we’re thrilled that this year’s event is being held right here in our home city of Norwich, a fitting location for a celebration of coach travel, with a rich history, a growing tourism scene, and strong local connections to the coach holiday industry.
What is National Coach Week?
National Coach Week is a week-long celebration of the coach tourism industry from the 12th to the 18th of May 2025, bringing together operators, destinations, attractions, and industry associations to highlight the benefits of coach travel. It’s an opportunity to share success stories, connect with fellow travel professionals, and promote coach tourism to the wider public.
But more than that, it’s a time to recognise the coach industry’s contribution to UK tourism — from reducing congestion and supporting local economies, to providing comfortable, sociable, and accessible ways for people to explore the country.
As a long-established name in the coach holiday industry, Grand UK Holidays is proud to be part of this ever-evolving sector.
Norwich – A Perfect Host City
It’s only fitting that this year’s National Coach Week is based in Norwich, A hub for coach travel across Norfolk, Suffolk, and East Anglia. Norwich has long been a key departure point for local holidaymakers seeking to discover the UK in comfort and style.
Why Coach Travel Matters
In a time when travel is evolving, coach holidays remain a reliable and enjoyable way to see the UK. For many of our guests, coach travel represents not just convenience, but confidence, friendship, and comfort.
Coach Travel is also one of the most sustainable modes of transport, as it is a more efficient way to transport multiple people, which leads to lower carbon emissions per passenger.
Our Commitment to Coach Tourism
At Grand UK Holidays, we’ve been designing coach holidays for mature travellers for over 40 years. Our focus is simple: to provide quality holidays at affordable prices, with excellent service and an experience tailored to the needs and preferences of our guests.
We offer an extensive range of UK coach holidays — from city breaks to seaside escapes, countryside tours to themed seasonal getaways — all with hand-picked hotels, engaging excursions, and professional drivers and experienced Tour Managers who go the extra mile.
Being based in Norwich, we understand the needs of our regional customers too. Our convenient 230+ free departure points make it easy to start your holiday locally and enjoy a seamless journey from beginning to end.
Looking Ahead
As National Coach Week 2025 brings industry figures together here in Norwich, we see it as a time not only to celebrate, but also to reflect and renew.
Coach tourism is changing. Following COVID-19, there’s been a fresh appreciation for slower, more mindful travel, and our coach holidays are carefully planned to meet that demand. At Grand UK Holidays, we’re responding with thoughtfully crafted itineraries to maximise enjoyment for all of our travellers.
We’re also investing in new destinations, themed tours, and festive breaks, designed to bring variety and inspiration to every journey. Whether you're looking to revisit a favourite resort or discover somewhere completely new, we’re here to make it happen.
